Tankless water heaters for North Jersey homes
Tankless units make sense in a lot of the homes we work in. Two-family houses where the second floor always seems to run cold, capes with a basement that has been finished and lost its utility space, and families with teenagers who shower in a row all benefit from endless hot water.
Two things decide whether an install goes smoothly. The first is gas supply: a tankless unit fires at a much higher rate than a tank, and the existing gas line to the old heater is often too small. The second is winter incoming water temperature, which drops sharply in North Jersey and reduces the flow a unit can deliver. We account for both before quoting.
