What a proper installation includes
Load calculation and sizing
We measure the house, insulation, windows, orientation and ductwork rather than copying the tonnage off the old nameplate. Oversized systems short-cycle and leave the house clammy. Undersized ones never catch up.
SEER2 efficiency options
SEER2 is the current efficiency rating for central air. We explain the practical difference between standard and higher-efficiency tiers in operating cost, comfort and price, and let you choose.
Matched systems
The outdoor condenser, the indoor evaporator coil and the air handler or furnace blower are selected as a matched set so the system performs at its rated efficiency.
Line set and refrigerant piping
We replace or flush the copper line set, size it for the new equipment, braze with nitrogen flowing, pressure test and pull a deep vacuum before charging.
Condensate management
A properly pitched drain, a trap, a float safety switch and a secondary pan wherever the air handler sits above finished space.
Electrical and controls
The correct breaker and disconnect, a new whip, surge protection if you want it, and a thermostat that matches what the equipment can do.
Permits and inspection
We pull the required permits with your town and schedule the inspection. It is not optional, and it protects you when you sell the house.
Removal and disposal
The old condenser, coil and refrigerant are removed and disposed of properly. Refrigerant is recovered, never vented.

We verify the charge, airflow and temperature split, walk you through the thermostat and register the manufacturer warranty. The town inspection follows.
