What the tune-up includes
Outdoor coil cleaning
We wash the condenser coil from the inside out so it can shed heat. A coil caked in pollen and dirt runs hotter, longer and harder.
Indoor coil and blower inspection
The evaporator coil is checked for dirt and biological growth, and the blower wheel for buildup that cuts airflow.
Refrigerant charge check
Pressures and temperatures are measured against the manufacturer's specification. A low reading means a leak, and we tell you before it becomes a compressor problem.
Condensate drain flush
The drain line is cleared and treated, the trap checked and the float switch tested. This is the step that prevents the ceiling stain in August.
Electrical testing
Capacitor values, contactor condition, motor amp draw and wire connections. Weak parts are flagged with a price so you can decide.
Thermostat and airflow check
Calibration, temperature split across the coil, filter condition and any duct problems visible from the equipment.
