Many of the tubs we work on are original cast iron in 1950s capes and colonials, with three-handle valves whose parts are hard to find. We can often rebuild them, and when we cannot, we replace the valve with a modern pressure-balance unit without tearing out the whole wall.

We pull the trim and identify the brand and model so we can bring the right cartridge or replacement valve.

Access without wrecking tile
Where a valve must be replaced, we work through the existing opening or from behind the wall whenever possible, and use an oversized trim plate to cover a slightly larger cut.

We check temperature control, diverter operation and the drain and overflow for leaks before we leave.
