An audit makes sense if

What we look at
Insulation
Attic insulation depth and coverage, basement rim joists, and obvious gaps. Attics in older homes are the most common shortfall and the cheapest to fix.
Duct leakage and airflow
Disconnected runs, leaks into the attic or basement, crushed flex and starved returns. We measure static pressure to see whether the ducts are choking the equipment.
Heating and cooling equipment
Age, condition and efficiency of the furnace, boiler, water heater and air conditioner, plus combustion safety on gas equipment.
Air leaks and ventilation
Attic hatches, recessed lights, plumbing and wiring penetrations, and bath and kitchen exhaust that vents where it should.
Thermostat and controls
Settings, schedules and zoning that may be wasting energy without anyone noticing.
